Ok so feeling a lot better now, even after seeing the weather report.I do have some knitting news though, I finished my lace shawl, its not blocked yet, only due to having no pins here at the moment, I am absolutely thrilled with it and can't wait to start my next lace project. I will post pictures when it is pinned out.
I have also signed up for sock wars, now I am more than sure that I will be out in the first round but at least I will have a nice pair of socks to wear. Check it out it is such a great idea.
Finally Joan L. left me a comment about the shardigan that I started knitting at the beginning of last year unfortunately she doesn't seem to have left an e-mail for me to respond but the information is that the pattern is available here, I struggled a bit with the copy I got but it may have been revised since, I also realised that it was going to be far to small for me so frogged it.

I knitted a Shardigan last year from a kit purchased in the UK (Burford Needecrafts). Although the size came up OK (I'm not petitt) - I havent worn it - never feels quite right :(

Sock Wars should be fun and yarn monkey is a great organiser (I did the Knitting World Cup that she ran earlier in the year). I'm too slow at knitting socks to take part in this but shall have fun watching!
